Welcome to the inaugural Chase the Sun, a fun-focused track ultra designed to help you test your limits, celebrate one of the longest days of the year, and connect with an amazing running community. Whether you're chasing a milestone (like 100 miles — yes, it’s possible!), aiming for a personal best, or just soaking up the movement and good vibes, this is your day to shine.

Russell Run Club Members: $10 off (valid membership required before registering).
Refund Policy: No refunds or transfers unless event is cancelled.
Upgrades allowed (pay the difference). Downgrades okay, but no reimbursement
Race Day Schedule
4:30–5:00 AM: Package pick-up
5:14 AM: Chase the Sun Challenge starts (sunrise)
8:00 AM: 12 Hour & 6 Hour AM start
11:00 AM: 3 Hour start
2:00 PM: 6 Hour PM start
8:00 PM: 12 Hour races end
8:47 PM: Chase the Sun ends (sunset-ish)
Post-race: Awards + good vibes
Mandatory briefing: 15 mins before each start.
Timing & Results
Lap counting + distance recorded by race team (outsourced if needed)
Final results based on official lap count
Raise any concerns as soon as possible on race day
Track Rules & Etiquette (final version will be emailed pre-race)

Lane 1 = Run, Lane 2 = Passing, Lanes 4–5 = Walkers/social pace

Walk breaks okay in Lane 1 unless significantly slowing

Change direction only after finishing your lap

Leave/return for aid from designated area only

Do not leave school property during your race

Headphones okay — we recommend one ear only
